The 2021 RapiKart Lightweight title fight is a lot closer. Sam Parrant, who dominated in 2019, hasn't had it so easy this year, but he still heads the table. A flurry of fantastic races which saw Sam take victory at the Mansell Raceway and at Daytona helped him on his way to the top. Sam is known not just for his speed but his consistency. Even a bad day at the office for Sam is still a top 4 finish. The battle for second is incredibly close with three drivers looking to close in on Sam, whilst duking it out amongst each other. Joe Dawe currently heads them and has built momentum as the season progressed, with results going from strength to strength. Victory at Llandow helped Joe mount a challenge on Sam. Hot on Joe's heals is Euan Clements and Morgan Durrant. Consistency has played its part in Euan's season, with two podiums so far to his name. Morgan enjoyed victory at the Herefordshire Raceway at Round 5, which catapulted him up into the title battle.
Sitting just behind the top 4 is Christopher Ball, who is looking to build on his awesome performance at Round 4 in Llandow after finishing 2nd and close the gap on the top 4. Christopher has a comfortable lead ahead of the next group headed by Bryce D'Souza, just ahead of Jason Boldero.
When the dropped round is applied, Sam heads Joe Dawe by 26 points. Joe is just 2 points ahead of Euan, with Morgan just 4 points behind Euan. With Round 6 taking place this weekend, there really is all to play for!
